Gearbox plunger thread

Can anyone tell me what the gearbox case plunger thread size is please? I need to buy a tap to give it a clean up. The plunger was quite tight when I unscrewed it and it does not want to screw all the way back in.

Thanks for your help Julian. I must say the taps took a bit of tracking down. The obvious vendor Tracey Tools didn't have any in stock. I managed to order a set from RGD Tools. Once again thanks for your help mate.

Julian, the taps arrived in the post this morning. I ran a tap throught the plunger hole and the thread cleaned up nicely, so the plunger is back in the box now. Once again thanks for the heads up on the thread size.
