Made it easier (charging battery)

to load the battery.

The screw in battery top is connected to the hot pole of the battery. So I can simple and quick load the battery without open the top or removing the battery.

Made this for all my bikes with a battery.

I put this plug and socket on my battery, (I've pulled it out from it's hiding place, so you can see it). I've also got a compatible socket on the charger lead so it's very easy to just unplug the bikes wiring, (also handy when doing work on the bike that might cause a short circuit) and plug the charger on. I have another plug-connected short lead with croc clips in case I need to use the charger for the car etc.

Me too. tucks up under seat and out of sight. I've got one on each terminal.

Me too. I have the same plug on all my bikes but wired into the loom so the bike can run while still connected. Handy for checking dynamo output as well.

hi guys, good idea not having to take the set off to charge. I have a lead from the battery to the tool box and can charge from there with solar charger or other charger, cheers

 Rookie, I like your thinking but it is a bit vulnerable, I've done much like the others but use a dedicated input using Anderson 30Amp plugs- good for input and output, can't mess up the polarity- after much messing up of polarity....

 I'll post a pic later....

To cover the battery area under dual seat so I can't accidentally short the battery when working with the dual seat off I fashioned a 3mm thick rubber flap about 15 cm x 18 cm with 3 holes punched at the rear end and loosely fixed with 3 cable ties to the frame cross member. If I need to access the battery or other electrical components under it I can simply lift it up and over like a trap door and just a quickly flap it over and down again.

I use Anderson power poles, accessible in the toolbox. Prior to that, I connected the live lead to the back brake light switch, with the other lead on a crankcase bolt. It worked....

But then, I fixed the dynamo, and the charger I built has remained unused!
