Hello all,
« on: 22.01. 2017 19:00 »
Hello,
I'm new here. My name is Eric, I'm 52 and I live in Bordeaux in France.
I'm playing with British bikes for about 30 years and during all this years, I never owned or even ride a BSA machine. About three months ago, I've been lucky to purchase a '56 Golden Flash, authentic, unrestored and in an amazing condition.
This machine is a real pleasure to ride and it really handles as well as my Nortons.
I like it so much that I've started a new project around a '54 A10 frame and a Vincent Comet engine. Please see my advert in the "Wanted" section for a few bits and bobs I need.
Cheers.
Eric

G'day Eric,  *welcome*
I know you will enjoy riding the GF and will become your favorite. Patina is good, if it runs and everything works leave it as is.
A few pictures would be nice.
Cheers

Thanks Musky,
I've no doubt this BSA will become as beloved as my other machines.
And NO plan to restore it because it looks so nice as it is. I'll try to post a picture, if I can get help from my son, very soon.
During the annual rally of the Club Triton France in Ireland in July, we did discuss the possibility of coming to NZ in 2019 for our rally.
Hopefully this will become reality. I've already started to save money!
Cheers

Hi Eric, well if your club does make it to NZ for a rally there are some truly fantastic biking roads here, and by 2019 the South Island ones should be all be fixed up! (following the big quake in November last year).

There is a surprising number of kiwi members on the a10 forum :-) who can all give advice on touring NZ.
