Wanted: top and bottom yokes 1953 A10
« on: 30.09. 2016 10:34 »
Has anyone got a top and bottom yokes for 1953 A10. No's 66-5088 and 66-5089. I believe they are 7" centres. I have just renovated and installed wrong items which are slightly narrower consequently the wheel is slightly offset.

 Where are you located Martin?

Trees come up regularly on Ebay, and more than likely someone has some. But its no use to spend 100 dollars shipping something if you can get it for 50 dollars locally.

Unfortunately I bought these on Ebay, sold as A10 parts. There are several jumbles and I will be at Stafford in a couple of weeks so might find some there, thanks.

Hi Martin,

If you want to sell your incorrect yokes I am after a pair. Any size that fits an A7 frame would be fine.

Thanks, Keith.

Hi Keith. You can have them for £20 plus carriage. That is what I paid for the bottom yoke.

Hi Martin, i've only just registered on the forum.I'm currently building an A10 engined custom for a friend ( sorry to all the purists!).The bike turned up in boxes and had to be assembled for photos so the owners club could verify it's ID for the DVLA in order for it to retain it's reg .It's now been stripped so i can start on the motor and the frame can be modified.I've just sent all the "surplus" bits back so he can sell them to add funds to the project. The forks and yokes wont be used as he has a set on their way from the States. It's a '53 plunger frame. If you still need them i'll check if he still has them.
Colin.

Sorry for delay, been busy with 2 or 3 Japanese bikes recently.I'll contact him today and let you know asap. He's keen on the idea of his surplus bits getting used on other peoples bikes.

Just got a text back and he still has them.He asked if i could get £35 for them but to be honest i'm not sure if that's fair or not. There would be postage on top of course.I'm going to need more advice on this forum and don't want to come across as someone trying to get top money for parts from it's members.Maybe if you PM me i can put you in touch and you could work something out. There are plenty more bit's he's got to shift, we're only really using the frame and engine.
