Avatars, size and quality *update...*
« on: 24.08. 2016 08:51 »
As pc screen resolution + internet speed has generally evolved, have up'ed the avatar size to (max) 180 x 180.
Due to some constraints in the page layout, 180 width does not display properly in posts, so back to 160 for width, but 180 height is ok. So its 160 x 180 pixels.

For max quality use a .png filetype = larger filesize = better quality.

Anyone wants to update their avatar, just upload a new one in the profile page.

Thanks

Erling,
I've updated my avatar with a 180 pixel high image. It now overlays the bottom of the title frame on the home page. This is not a problem to me but just thought you might be interested.

^^^ Yes, the top is not expandable to accommodate both a large logo + a high avatar.
A very small avatar also has some artifacts. If you click the 'View or Hide Header' button the problem disapears :O)
May edit the top section properties 'someday'. btw, your avatar looks good & clear now.

Arghh, ref. edited 1st post: always something to take into account... due to some constraints in the posts page layout, 180 avatar width size does not display properly (cut off), so ftm back to the old 160 width, but keeping 180 height.

Will look into this 'someday'.

But recommending to use .png for best details\resolution.

Thanks
