Kicked the A10 into life today....it's been 15 months idle.... *eek*

Starts fine but will only run with choke on

carb is clean with no obvious weirdness with the cables

Its got a 170 main jet and no air filter

Pilot jet is .107 and needle position is 2nd notch

I read in some previous posts that bigger main jet required if running without air filter

The main jet came with the carb new over a year ago

What size jet would I be looking to increase to in this case ?

I dunno if it matters what carb it is, but I think the Pilot jet should be in the vicinity of .25, .107 is likely the needle jet and may be a bit big Monoblocs generally have a .106, but I have to run a .105 needle jet.
I have a .240 main jet, but even at THE TON  *eek*(100km/h *smile*), I'm still only at about 1/4 on the twist grip  *conf*, I say so get it running on the low jets first and worry about the main/J later .......*dunno*

The first thing I noticed was the .107 needle jet (not pilot) might be a bit rich even without a filter, but you say it needs choke to run  *dunno*. Fuel height (float height) might be a bit low or a restriction to the feed.
Been a long while since I ditched the 276 for a concentric.

Scotty,
You may need to take out your jet block and clean the pilot jet. This is often overlooked on the 276 and like carbys as it is not easily accessed.

Thanks Trev

I'll be stripping the carb down on the weekend and will investigate the jet block
