Thanks Muskrat, but it is the Polychromatic Green. Must be the way the pictures look, or the lighting. Thanks....

G'day Richard.
Nice isn't it? Even has a green tank badge. The 56 -57 Shooting Star was super special, super sport.
If I ever return the cafe to original that's how she'll look.
Cheers

Very nice!. Yes, that is the green. The pics I sent I guess the lighting was wrong to not show the true color of the bike. This bike in this pic Richard, I believe is an earlier model , as it does not have the enclosed chain guard. I am getting excited for the spring, and new season of rally going to take the bike, to some of these, and riding it around. Many thanks to all for the help, the comments and likes. By the way, I also did find the green tank badges at British Cycle Supply in Nova Scotia. He told me they were the last ones in captivity. LOL...

Better clean your glasses, Musky. It looks green to me but I assume that the flash has made it look a bit gold.

If you say so. I guess that's why they call it "polychromatic."

Then there's the optical gag that was a source of popular culture interest in the U.S last summer, I am embarrassed to say. Maybe you've seen it:  http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/what-colour-is-the-dress-blue-and-black-or-white-and-gold-whatever-you-see-says-a-lot-about-you-10074490.html

The bike in the picture seems to be a '54 or '55, based on the half-width hubs. My '57 is the basic no-nickname "A7", not the "Shooting Star". From what I've read, the original color would have been maroon or black, but very interested to hear what others think about that.
