You don't see one of these for sale everyday, or at least I don't.

What a lean, sweet machine. It looks like a blast!

For sure, original BSA Scramblers are rare birds and will only satisfy collector...may be?

A little confused about the figures at the gearbox.
STB never seen and heared about.
STC are for Scrambler Gearbox.
Does anybody knows more about?

Its look a like with some genuie Scrambler parts as Seat, Gearbox and Tank, build up of spareparts

this bird flys wildlife ;)

A non-streetable bike is no use to me, so, unable to afford it or want it that much (or so I contend), let the description of the sour grapes begin!

Here's a restorer who's completed engine and gearbox rebuilds 10 miles ago in order to sell the bike at top dollar but did not bother coming up with Whitworth (or other British thread) fasteners for a variety of attachments, like the mudguards and the shift lever for example. Then, there is the matter of "STB" on the gearbox. My A10 has an "SC" scrambles box and the other two boxes I have are "STD".

Others will see more subtle issues or, maybe, the great value, but I just don't see $21,000, even as the opening negotiating number.

I have seen a fair few posts on the "Britbike forum" regarding the  STB stampings
So more than this one exists
From what I can gather they were fitted to some of the late pre unit bikes for the US market

Scrambles boxes with bushed layshafts are stamped "SC"
Scrambles boxes with needle roller layshafts are stamped "SCT"

Hi all.  As mentioned in an earlier listing, I've got a genuine RGS that was imported from the States thats fitted with a STB stamped gearbox. According to the factory records it wasn't a scrambler just a standard RGS. I've never worked out if thats its correct box or if it has been changed at some point in the last 50 odd years. Can anyone confirm if American RGS's did have a STB box as standard figment.
Regards, Peter

The STB box is the same as the STD2. It is usually marked STB2.
Extremely low 1st gear for quick getaways.

I guess you can ask any price for anything. Doesn't mean you'll get it. Every time one of these comes up for sale at a ridiculous price I think I should sell mine. Sure it's incomplete and has unstamped engine cases, but I'd take a hell of a lot less than these jokers are asking!
