My father has an M21 that also has the frame number stamped into the engine along with ERS. The bike originated in central America. When I first saw that, I assumed it was stolen and had altered numbers. It was relieving to discover what ERS meant. My father, who didn't know the numbers weren't supposed to match never batted an eye!
