This really is an excellent forum. Keep asking, using the search function and reading and you may not be ‘bodger’ Paul much longer.
Hope you enjoy your A7.

Hello Terryg...Iam a Chairmaker by trade from High Wycombe which used to be known as Britains furniture town. Lots of chair making workshops in the town but sadly most of them have gone now. Anyone who was a maker was know as a bodger. Local football team Wycombe Wanderers Are know as the chairboys, doing well this season...Of course the term Bodger means something else now...Thought it was a good choice now i own an old british bike. Both are part of Great Britain`s history...

G'day Bp *welcome*
I know you'll love the A7 as much as I love mine. Great bikes and fairly easy to maintain.
For posting pictures look here https://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=427.0

Hi Muskrat...Thanks for the help with picture posting.

Welcome
Keep on Bodging *wink2*

Paul - I know High Wycombe well, my boys went to school there. The real meaning of ‘bodger’ is not lost on me but you don’t hear it much nowadays except in the derogatory sense.
As Scotty posted, ‘keep on bodging’.

Hello Terryg...Sign of the times iam afraid...Not much produced in Great Britain anymore...Started my apprentice in 1979 along with many of my school friends...Dont think anyone in HW offers an apprentiship in furniture making anymore...I have a trainee with me now but its not the same and hes on minimum wage...
-
Paul - Ercol, a former HW furniture manufacturer now based up the road in Princes Risborough, appears to be offering apprenticeships still.
Well off topic, I know. Apologies.
