Title: Let’s see your horns mounted

With loosely fitting most items, I’ve tried fitting the horn with a cranked bracket and it hits the frame.

Presume you use a spacer to compensate and haven’t even installed the dynamo so don’t even know if it will hit that too!

Haven’t got exhaust pipes yet and presume it’s mounted on the same stud!

Its for 1962 BSA A10 Super Rocket fitted with twin clocks

Yes, to all of that. If you're using an Altette or pattern of same you'll need to bend the Y shaped bracket that it mounts on to pull it away from the frame / dynamo. The dynamo will have the later 'jelly - mould' cover. I find that I can loosen the engine mount stud that goes through the frame and carries the horn, so it is possible to swivel the horn out of the way whilst tinkering with / fitting the dynamo. Another of BSA's "bits slapped anywhere" solutions. The nacelle versions had the horn in the nacelle of course which, whilst tidy, was inaccessible! The pic is of my Road Rocket. The only difference is that my dynamo has a flat, bakelite cover.

Nevermind, see the exhaust and is camouflaged with the primary

Our '59 Flash had the horn mounted at the junction of the top tube and the front downtubes. The Altette looks flashier though!

Not the greatest photo, clipped from a larger photo. There is a small spacer (6mm) behind the Y shaped bracket. I think the exhaust is pretty obvious!

I put my rather basic horn on the upper engine mounting bolt.

1961 GF

I don’t think there is enough space in the nacel or any appropriate attachment point under the tank.

I am a bit worried about the vulnerable wiring but I have been through some horrendous downpours that had no effect.

I think I might have an issue with the horn bracket then! As the bracket does not clear the frame and hits it
