Title: Thanks for the help
Post by: Stu on 08.01. 2023 19:06
Hi guys, I've just joined but you have all helped me many times when I got stuck. I'm rebuilding 2 A10s and a B25 in Zambia. Parts get sent by my mum from U.K. And I'm almost done with the first,1961 A10 rocket, I think.
Anyway, thanks for the advice, well appreciated.

I come from uk but living in South Africa since 88, then Zambia since 2008. I had a1965 A65 in UK, rebuilt it myself then moved to Africa. I actually found a guy in Lusaka here with 2*A10, 2* bonnys and aB25. I bought the lot for $4000. My mates convinced me to give them the bonnys so I got left with the BSAs.if I can figure out how to post a pic ill show what they looked like when I find them.

I used someone's tip on here to repair the thread on my crank, bsa_54a10, whoever you are, thanks. I cut a nut in half, clamped it on the good thread and worked it up, best tip ever.

You did well with getting that lot for the price - I take it that's USD.  I'm a bit poor, only got one Kwacha to my name 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yeah I paid USD $4000 but had to give the two bonnys away at cost to mates, both matching numbers, one with original Rickman conversion from the 70s. They've both helped me out in the past so couldn't say no.

Jeez, if you'd exported them to Blighty, you'd be living a life of luxury by now.

Yeah,I know the bonnys were the money in the deal but these guys helped me out many times so I was obliged, plus I had an A65 before so I'm partial to BSA.
