Hi Everybody,
Why is the oil tank so difficult to fit and get some clearance between the in and out pipes and the frame? Maybe I'm doing something stupid. Tank and frame both restored and new fitting kit of fastners being used but it is proving a right (rude words)! Any advice much appreciated.

Way theu designed it, I'm afraid (by the director's girlfriend etc). The mounting and closeness of pipes to frame is just plain stupid.

Had to do some jiggery pokery with mine to gain a little bit more clearance. This involved some files, don't tell anyone!

Thanks for that. At the end of the day and after much frustration, I put the rear bolt in the lathe and thinned it down to 6mm between the head and the nut. It allowed the tank to move forwards about 3mm and gave me about 1mm clearance between the pipe fittings and frame. Designed at the office Christmas party. *smile* Regards to all.

I put padding between the tank and the frame. It was armour out of an old motorcycle jacket. There is a strip of padding similar shown oin the parts book from memory. Yep part no:42-8342

The "padding" is available from Draganfly
