It's very good when members get some country\town info to show in all posts. Useful when f.ex. looking for help, A7\10 owners nearby or parts in ones own area etc.

& is it a plunger, rigid, swingarm, A7, A10 or... ? makes it much easier to answer requests for help.

A few words in the "Personal Text", "Signature" or "Custom Title" field in Profile > Modify Profile > Forum Profile Information is all that's needed. Takes less than a minute.

See http://www.a7a10.net/forum/index.php?topic=6856.0

Edit: now a possibility to add flags.

Thanks

It's a fine idea to have correspondents indicate the country they are posting from.
Thanks for suggesting this!

Country and, perhaps, city. To an even finer point, being in Los Angeles is very different from being in NYC.

"Where are you from" here in the US is typically a request for information as to your birthplace (we are a mobile  people): "Where are you" inquires about your current location.
Anyway, it's a fine idea to have correspondents indicate the country they are posting from.
Thanks for suggesting this!

Why have you not followed the suggestion then? *conf*

It's good when members state their country in the profile, a few words in the "Signature" or "Custom Title" field in Profile > Modify Profile > Forum Profile Information will show in all posts. Only takes a minute. Usefull when f.ex. looking for help or parts in ones own area.

Administrators idea was for members to fill in their Country and General Area in their personal Profile so that the information comes up automatically with their introduction details.  For example...mine says NE England.

It makes it much easier when members are requesting certain information...especially suppliers of spare parts.  For example, it's no good me suggesting someone from my area if you are from the USA or Oz.  I might be able to recommend a supplier closer to you if I knew where you were.  If everyone did this there is always the possibility that you could even find other members in your area.

Follow Erling's prompt in his opening message.  Profile>Modify Profile>Forum Profile Informatiom.  As he says, it only takes a minute  and it really is very helpful.

I think it's pretty well safe enough to put where we are, we only have to put a rough location, it could be the State in the USA ie. Nevada or Alaska or Alice Springs if your in S'trailia.

Hello all, a reminder for those who may need it, here is how to get those few words about country\city etc into the profile.

Click PROFILE > Forum Profile Information

Enter the text in the Personal Text field, and it'll show up in every post under the avatar.
Very useful, & it's a 1 minute job.

Thanks

G'day Fellas.
Most helpful to others answering your questions is to have your bike/bikes year & model in your profile.
Click on your name/alias then forum profile. In your Signature section, after your flag put in year & model.
Pic attached is mine.
